What is Mangus Literary Group looking for?

We are actively seeking distinctive voices in Adult Fiction and Non-Fiction. Our current focus includes literary thrillers, historical fiction with a modern edge, and narrative non-fiction that explores complex societal shifts.

We look for manuscripts that exhibit exceptional craft, emotional resonance, and high commercial potential. We do not represent children’s picture books or highly technical academic texts.

What is Mangus Literary Group looking for?

All queries must be submitted through our secure online portal. We no longer accept hard-copy submissions or email attachments to ensure every author receives a fair and organized review.

What should my query letter include?

Please submit your materials in the body of your email only. We do not accept or review file attachments. Your email should include:

01

The Query Letter

A compelling introduction is your first handshake. Introduce yourself with professional clarity, detailing your creative credentials, previous publications, and the inspiration behind your craft.

02

Book Concept

A concise overview of your book concept, including your target audience and why your book is timely and relevant.

03

A Strong Hook

A strong hook that clearly explains what makes your book unique in today's marketplace.

04

The Opening Pages

The first ten pages from the strongest and most compelling section of your manuscript — not necessarily the introduction, but the section that best showcases your writing, expertise, and voice.

Important Submission Requirements

Do not send attachments. Attachments are not opened, downloaded, or reviewed.

For security and efficiency, all materials must be included directly in the body of your email. Attachments will lead to automatic rejection.

Ensure your prose is pasted clearly, maintaining intended line breaks.

Please submit only one project at a time. Multi-project inquiries will be disregarded.

Ensure professional formatting and proofreading. Your attention to detail reflects your work.

Our standard response window is 8-12 weeks due to the volume of submissions.

What happens after I submit?

Transparency is key to our partnership from the very first interaction.

Initial Review

Our editorial assistants review all queries within 4-6 weeks for initial fit.

Full Request

If interested, we will request a full manuscript or proposal for deep analysis.

Final Decision

An agent will reach out personally to discuss representation or provide feedback.

Our Review Process

Every submission received by Ink & Parchment is reviewed by our editorial team.

If your project aligns with our publishing interests and representation criteria, a member of our team will contact you within approximately three weeks to discuss next steps.

Because of the high volume of submissions we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback on projects that are not selected for further consideration.

If you have not received a response within three weeks, please consider your submission respectfully declined. We sincerely appreciate your interest in Ink & Parchment and encourage you to submit future projects that may be a better fit for our publishing program.

We thank every author for the opportunity to review their work and wish you every success on your publishing journey.
