Brianne Keith is a bestselling author and ghostwriter specializing in health and wellness, self-help, and prescription nonfiction. She has been a ghostwriter for Simon & Schuster, publishing several nonfiction titles with them since 2013. In 2017, she published her own title with Simon & Schuster, American Lit 101, which has been a top-10 Amazon bestseller in its category since it landed.
Brianne was also a writer and producer for nearly a decade with WGBH in Boston, PBS’s largest public media producer. She created several innovative digital projects around WGBH’s award-winning programs, including Curious George, Antiques Roadshow, and Downton Abbey, as well as federally funded initiatives with Lemelson-MIT, NASA, and the National Science Foundation. In 2015, Brianne won a NETA award for her work on PLUM LANDING, a PBS Kids website leveraging cleverly designed apps and other tech to engage children and families with nature.
In addition to her writing career, Brianne became a certified practitioner (“Jyotishi”) with the Council of Vedic Astrology in 2021, rounding out her longtime study of American transcendentalism and Eastern philosophy. Brianne has a B.A. (Boston University) and M.A. (University of Massachusetts—Boston) in English literature, and served on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Thoreau Society for many years.
Brianne excels at translating “big ideas” for the general audience, wrangling messy drafts into sharp, engaging prose with intention and purpose, and helping first-time authors navigate the world of traditional and self-publishing. She is a strong coach—no project is unachievable. As one of her clients wrote, “Brianne—apparently nothing is impossible, thanks to you.”
Brianne is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
