An editor of fiction and nonfiction and a novelist who has published with four of the Big Five publishers, Bonnie Hearn Hill has worked as a ghostwriter/developmental editor for more than 75 authors in true crime, memoir, prescriptive nonfiction, and business titles. For those seeking traditional publication, she specializes in crafting individualized book proposals and is happy to share the names of many of her now-published authors.
Bonnie is passionate about writing and writers. Her mantra is “I love everything about writing even when I hate it.” Her second mantra: “You can fix anything except a blank page. Keep writing.”
Her own writing has won awards ranging from first place in the Writer’s Digest magazine short story contest and The Writer magazine Writers on Writers essay contest, to first place, nonfiction, for a client in the Killer Nashville competition. For the last 20 years, she has appeared on a monthly TV book club, sharing her picks on a major Central California morning segment.
Bonnie believes her work as a novelist helps her capture the voice of an author and create a strong narrative structure, and she is honored to have worked with some of the most inspiring writers in the world.
